FAQ

  • What is coaching?

Coaching is like having a dedicated accountability buddy, a mentor, someone trained to listen to you and understand how to guide you. What it is not is a nutritionist, therapist, psychiatrist, or a counselor. I may have a year of training, but the training is different. I can give you suggestions for diet and exercise but no prescription or real evaluation of your nutritional health. I cannot diagnose you. However, if you know you are neurodivergent I do have the skills to understand how to guide you.

  • I don't have ADHD or Culture Shock, but still want your help. Can I still work with you?

Yes! My training does include help in relationships, life, finance, business, etc. I focus on life and ADHD and navigating a new culture, but that does not mean I cannot help otherwise. What we can do is see if we are a good fit or not and go from there. I want you to know you are not going to be left without resources even if we are not a good match. I will give you referrals or resources to people or organizations that I believe may be better equipped for your unique needs.

  • Are your package deals always available?

Package deals are available for first time clients for the first 12 sessions only. Please inquire directly for more. I also have referral deals for a 10% discount on 4 sessions.

  • Do you do group sessions?

I do not currently offer group sessions, but I do make workshops and advertise them on my social media sites. Stay tuned over there!

  • Do you do couples coaching?

I am not a counselor or a therapist, so I do recommend that you see a different professional for that. I can help guide you individually on how to follow through with the steps to improvement in your life and relationships.

  • Will you give me step-by-step plans?

I recognize my clients intuitive ability to know what they need. Sometimes you just were never asked to or had the time to sit and think of what you actually need. I will be there to guide you to what you truly want, no matter how long it takes to find it. Sometimes you have always known, but you have no idea how to realistically achieve it. I will be there to help guide you into finding workable systems that are achievable and maintainable.

  • Do you only accept clients from Japan?

I accept clients from all over the world! As long as our schedules match, I am glad to work with you. My only requirement is that you can speak English. I speak English and Japanese, but worry about being lost in translation. As long as we can do the session in half English and half Japanese, that is OK too! Other than that, I apologize that I don’t speak more languages.

  • Can you offer payment plans?

Talk to me. Let’s see what we can do during the free session to see what options are available to make it work.

  • Where did you get your qualifications?

I took courses at and graduated from the Health Coach Institute. It is accredited by the International Coach Federation. I am not currently and ICF certified coach as that requires real coaching hours before I even qualify to apply. It is on my future goals to be one and I follow the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s guide on client driven coaching techniques - this part is self study. I’m always looking to improve and believe consistent study keeps me a good coach!

  • What is the most common feedback from your clients?

I have often been told that they like how I accept them no matter what without judgement during each session. It doesn’t matter if they didn’t do their action step homework. I am there to encourage them to succeed not to shame them into effort. Shame will not create consistent systems for your growth, only acceptance and celebration will.

  • Do you have reviews?

Yes, I have reviews from real people I coached in my About Me page under “testimonials”. Don’t worry, I get your explicit consent before posting any testimonials.
